Links Golf St Andrews are an Authorised Provider of guaranteed Old Course tee times, although we are now fully subscribed for the 2026 season. For those looking to secure their Old Course tee time in advance, we currently have a limited number of guaranteed tee times remaining for 2027 and we are accepting bookings for 2028 on all available dates. Our St Andrews Golf Week events in October 2026 and April/October 2027 still have availability. These events include play on the St Andrews Old Course. Explore the St Andrews Golf Week here: St Andrews Golf Week
To view our full 2027 St Andrews Old Course availability chart, please see below.
Please note that, with The Open returning to the St Andrews Old Course in 2027, tee times are more limited than usual, with the course closed from mid-June to mid-July.
For travel in 2026, it is still possible to enter the daily ballot for play on the Old Course. However, it is important to understand that the ballot is a true lottery and always heavily oversubscribed. By entering the ballot, this does not mean you will be allocated a tee time. Information on the ballot can be found here: Old Course Ballot

We are an Authorised Provider of St Andrews Old Course tee times and can include them as part of a package. Our packages also include core elements of accommodation, additional golf and ground transportation. So enquire here and start building your customised golf tour.
As a business we stipulate a minimum 5-night stay for all golf tours including the St Andrews Old Course Tee Times. The St Andrews Links also include a round on either the New Course, Jubilee Course or Castle Course as part of your booking.
Unfortunately, but realistically, there are a finite number of advanced bookable tee times available for the St Andrews Old Course. There is however a unique system in place for golfers without an advanced tee time; the daily Ballot, which provides the opportunity to apply for a tee time 2 days before the intended date of play. The ballot can only be entered by groups of 2-4 golfers and as a lottery-style system, does not guarantee play.
Whilst all tee times are 4-balls, we are happy to split tee times and work with 3-balls, 2-balls and single golfers. As is the case with many premier golf courses, out-with events such as the St Andrews Golf Week, the St Andrews Old Course does not lend itself to large group bookings. So we personally recommend groups of up to 8 golfers to ensure the best possible experience.
The ‘handicap’ limit for both men & women is 36. The Starter does require this information on the day, therefore we will request this information prior to arrival.
There is no strict dress code at St Andrews. Although, as you will undoubtedly take many photos during your round, we would always recommend dressing in your best golf attire.
